Skin Trauma (2 hours)
The Skin Trauma module has been developed to provide all health care professionals and students with an overview of the prevention, assessment and management of skin trauma in the ageing population. The module contains information on:
- Skin Trauma Wound Classifications
- Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (MARSI)
- Skin Tears
- Skin Tear Risk Assessment
- Prevention Strategies
- Assessment Strategies
- Skin Tear Management
The Skin Trauma module is suitable for students and practicing health professionals wishing to have an overview of skin trauma prevention, assessment and management in the ageing population and is recommended for those working in domiciliary health services, residential aged care facilities, hospitals, wound or outpatient clinics and community health services. Access to the module is for 12 months and you can jump in and out of the course as often as you want, with each module remembering where you left off.
The Skin Trauma module is under review by the Australian College of Nursing and Wounds Australia Accreditation program for 2 hours of CPD.
