Following the successful incorporation, Wound Innovations has forged ahead by securing a preferred partnering deal with a multi-national healthcare organisation Paul Hartman Pty Ltd (‘HARTMANN’).
Chairman of the Wound Management Innovation Cooperative Research Centre (Wound CRC) Professor Rob Sale commented:
“I am delighted to see this true innovation be brought into reality through a CRC and that entity go on to attract world class partners.
I believe the Wound CRC should be proud that it has created a world first with Wound Innovations and that innovation will be trialed in Australia.
Wound Innovations is a center of excellence for disciplines related to wounds and as such can engage care providers and patients in a way that will empower them and provide better health outcomes for the nation.”
CEO of the Wound Management Innovation Cooperative Research Centre (Wound CRC) and incoming CEO of Wound Innovations, Dr Ian Griffiths, today said:
“We are proud to announce a preferred partnering deal with HARTMANN, as they share our vision for the creation of a National wound organisation which can act independently while meaningfully engaging with industry.
All Australian wound sufferers deserve the best research-based treatment. This can be achieved in a systematic way and HARTMANN are investing in a number of Wound Innovations collaborative activities including: clinical services, telehealth, education (including online learning), credentialing and research.
We are also continuing negotiations with other complimentary industry partners, as we recognize that multiple organisations together play a role in advancing wound care treatments and products. It is through these partnerships that we are committed to continuing the collaborative journey of the CRC and to translating research to real-world outcomes.”
Managing Director of HARTMANN Australia, Mark Summerville, today stated:
“We are excited to further enhance our partnership with the formation of Wound Innovations. Since joining the Wound CRC as an industry partner we have worked collaboratively to help advance research, treatment and access to wound care in Australia.
Our brand promise is to go further for health and by working closer with Wound Innovations we can help provide services and support that extends beyond our expertise.
Our mission in Wound management is to remove the complexity out of wound care by providing simpler and more integrated solutions for both patients and health care professionals.”
